  4. This book includes over 200 "how-tos" in question & answer format that
  5. makes expanding your Internet knowledge easier and more enjoyable.  To
  6. be sure, it can be a "first book" for a total beginner, but can also
  7. be considered as a second book as well.

  9. In many ways, INTERNET HOW-TO is a problem solver - want to know how to
  10. get started, use mail, read usenet news, talk to other users, get files
  11. with ftp, use TELNET/RLOGIN, find software with Archie, use Gopher,
  12. look up information with WAIS, and navigating by WWW - the Q&A format
  13. is excellent for addressing certain questions with informative and
  14. authoritative replies that will help you acquire more Net skills in small
  15. but measurable increments.  Each "how-to" carries a complexity 
  16. classification of easy, intermediate or advanced and this may serve to
  17. give added confidence as one progresses through them.  Its a nice touch!

  19. I liked the presentation of Larry Henderson's book and it is written in a
  20. no-nonsense style that is easy to read and understand.  The ilustrations
  21. are clear and help give understanding to the concepts explained in the
  22. text.  Once the reader has reached his or her level of competence in 
  23. net use, INTERNET HOW-TO will serve as a good reference to less often
  24. used utilities and functions.  This is one of a few net books that
  25. is worthy of consideration for those who wish to attain a higher net
  26. proficiency than the norm.
